It reached No. 4 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart and No. 58 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song succeeded in bringing Squier back to MTV rotation "and was a major hit at rock radio, where it cracked the Top Five and helped jump-start the album's eventual gold sales certification."
